It's been a horrid, horrid week at work. Nothing but incessant fire-fighting, and most of it could be avoided if people could just be more focussed at work.
Anyway, glad that it's over and the weekend is here ... again.
Will be having a bunch of friends over for pizza, wine and cheese tomorrow :) This is what we should be celebrating in life - friendship, joy and happiness.
Kootoo will have a ball of a time sizing up the guests, of course, while Muffin will take some time to warm up to them. Milo, of course, will be hiding under the quilt for his dear life. No balls.

Kootoo warming up to feverish Papa Porky.
Having come down with a sudden fever/chills and headache over the weekend, Papa Porky was on two days' medical leave at home to recuperate.
Drugged and comatose, just like Papa Porky.
Such lovely company he had ;)

... or Public Display of Affection? You decide!
Our little boy loves to roll on his back and expose his tum-tum whenever we approach him, knowing that we could never resist giving him tummy rubs.

15 April 2007.
It was as if the little life would slip away -- its scrawny body tormented by poison, its soul wretched with physical suffering.

We are thankful that Twinkle didn't give up fighting and that Phyllis didn't give up trying.
P.S. I think Twinkle's got to watch that tum-tum of his!!

It provided a sweet respite from the drudgery.

Like most cats, Kootoo Monster has a penchant for boxes.
He loves to get cosy in them.
But this is too much!
Arrrrrgh, this box just won't fit!
I can do eeet! Maybe if I align myself diagonally??
Yes!!! I did eeet!

First it was my sister, now it's my mum's turn.
To catnap, that is!
My dear mum was doing a spot of gardening at the common garden maintained by the Residents' Committee, when she came across this skin-and-bones Tortie girl.
And what's a soft-hearted person got to do, except to bring it home and give it food and shelter?
The vet guestimates that Brownie, as she is now known, is about 6 to 7 weeks old. But she looks 3 months old to me.
Honestly, I think the chances of her getting adopted are quite low. Torties are an acquired taste where looks are concerned, although my experience thus far shows that Torties have one of the sweetest temperaments among cats.
No matter what, the important thing now is to fatten up scrawny Brownie.

I could hardly recognise our little friend Twinkle from this video, courtesy of Vegancat.
This boy has grown so much!
When I went to the cattery yesterday afternoon, he was sleeping like a log!

I am down with a cold, wish I could stay at home and chill out with the kitties.
Alas, the projects at work would not allow that!
Oh it's just not fair! Why do the kitties get to laze about at home 24 hours a day, and I -- I who bring home the kibbles must slog so hard, even when sick???

This was supposedly Mondee's video, but guess who hogged the limelight (and the toy) and even swatted Mondee while playing? :D
Thanks to Vegancat for sharing this lovely video clip.

... my foot! and I mean, MY FOOT!
Some scaredy cat got startled when the window slammed suddenly yesterday due to strong wind. He leapt from the sofa, landed on my foot, scrambled away in a flash and pierced my skin with his needle-like claws. He needs a pedicure!!!
