Hello hello, I am back :P Apologies for the lack of postings recently. It's been crazy at work - from Killer Rojak to Aware to H1N1. No breather at all. And it doesn't help that I have been down with a swine of a flu bug which gave me an incredible sorethroat and tear-inducing coughing fits. Not to mention that my voice is almost gone.
Here's an update on Mama cat. She really needs to watch her weight. She doesn't really eat a lot, but she's piling on the pounds like nobody's business in the short 5 months she's been with us.
She is positively round! Not a very flattering back view, is it?
Mama: Are YOU calling me FAT? *squints eyes in consternation*
I guess it's the lack of "sporting activity" such as running after birds and running away from unfriendly humans at the void deck that's contributing to her expanding girth. The only "exercise" she does about the house is scampering away from Kootoo, who goes after her when he's in a frisky mood.
Mama: I am an all-rounder!
She could do with some advice on how to regain her hour-glass figure :)

Hello Coco!Oops I mean Your Royal Highness :) Yes Mama cat has very nice fur, good kibbles, plenty of water and lotsa TLC has done her good, too much good maybe :) She has very dense but soft fur, very nice to the touch. Alas, the "samseng poh" doesn't enjoy cuddles! She is not used to it lah. She doesn't mind getting scritches and chin rubs but any more than that she gets a bit spooked. We'll take it easy, afterall 5 months ago she's a nobody's cat!
So everybody likes full-bodied cats huh? :)

Great job fattening up Mama. She looks succulent indeedy. This minion believes it's called blossoming.
Eh, closest comparison I guess... Rheilly joined slackerdom at 3.9kilos in Mar 2006. She was 5.1 in Mar 07. Her last weigh-in two weeks ago was 5.3. So if the trajectory holds true for Mama, you've got another 6-7 months of Mama blossoming on your hands =D
btw, Rheilly is still a bit of a samseng poh, albeit learning social etiquette and obligations aka cuddles.

What - another 6-7 months of blossoming? Heavens no! Mama already looks preggers when she walks - round protrusions on either side of her. Time to put her on the treadmill I'd say!
