Fang you ...

From the desk of Mama Piggy:

We've crept into Week 2, and the two kitties are not chums yet.

Kootoo: I don't like your face, you ninny.

Muffin: Not if you have my cute, innocent looks, Fatso!

One is shamelessly territorial, while the other alternates between a super-manja sweetie-pie and a psychotic terrorist.

Do I look like I am in a good mood? Get that blinking camera outta my face NOW!

The only 'improvement' is that Kootoo no longer has that murderous look in his eyes, but the bites are still vicious. On the other hand, little Muffin has learnt to fight the resident monster back, with plenty of fangs and talons of course.

This is how I sharpen my fangs, fang you ...

I just have to make sure the 5-kg lardball doesn't crush the skinny one like a sumo wrestler ...

Muffin Terror goes to the vet

Little Muffin survived his first trip to the vet, but gave the poor vet a hard time by scratching and biting her.

The vet opined that Muffin has an aggressive streak in him, and would need to be taught some basic socialising skills and vetiquette by none other than his Big Brother -- moi ...

Otherwise, Muffin was given a clean bill of health, weighing in at 0.77 kg. At the rate he is eating and sleeping, he will end up as a lardball in no time ...

One week on

From the desk of distressed Mama Piggy:

It's been a week since we brought the little one home.

Kootoo is still behaving aggressively toward Muffin:
1. He's got the "I'm-gonna-wallop-you" look in his eyes whenever Muffin is within sight.
2. He swats at Muffin through the fencing - with his claws out, mind you.
3. Whenever I let Muffin out for a short walk, he jumps on him and bite his neck, as if the little one is a mouse.

Perhaps Kootoo is miffed with all the attention showered on Muffin, but I've tried to sayang Kootoo a bit more than usual ... I have been keeping them apart most of the times cos Muffin is really terrified when Kootoo goes cuckoo.

Bah! The stripey lardball is just jealous that I have warm milk for brekky and supper every day ...

Lil' Muffy is going to the vet tomorrow for a health check and a possible vaccination, if the vet finds him up to it.

Horrors! Did I hear the taboo word "V.E.T."??? Ten thousand thunders! Let go of me before I scratch you to pieces!!!

Identity Crisis

From the desk of blur and shocked Mama Piggy:

Muffin is a BOY.

Wow this is amazing!! I woke up from a nap to discover that I have bollocks!

In my haste to bring Muffin home, I forgot to double-check HIS gender before adopting HIM. I don't know what prompted me to take a closer look at HIS organs this evening. Lo and behold - I found two tiny lumps underneath HIS arsehole. *Hair-tearing moment*

Hmmppf ... For all my stupidity, the good thing was Muffin is an androgynous name, and it costs less to neuter him -- afterwhich I could call him a Pansy too.

Baby shower

The pesky little thing had a shower yesterday -- Mama Piggy had to ask her sister for help as both Mama's hands had bad scratches and cuts, all thanks to the psychotic kitty.

Yeah, the kitty has a nice little pink nose and pink paw pads.

Yeah, she purrs a lot, non-stop in fact, even when she is eating.

Why do I have to share MY toys with Muffin? *sulks*

But it is ME -- me with the lovely olive green eyes and majestic stripes -- who is my Mama's favourite!

Tabbies rule!

Truce or Dare

From the desk of Mama Piggy:

Kootoo and Muffin have made a baby step towards accepting each other (I think).

They can now sit opposite each other (with a fence in between, of course) at a distance and size each other up without the obligatory sound effects of hissing and spitting.

However, Kootoo, being his usual playful self, keeps wanting to pounce at the little one, sending Muffin into hysterics. Muffin seems rather fearful of sudden movements or sounds and would react strongly, almost behaving like a possessed kitty. Perhaps she is still reeling from that unhappy episode in her life ... poor baby.

This morning, I suffered a cut on my left index finger when Kootoo came dashing at Muffin, who was in my arms. While trying to calm the little one, she gave me a nasty bite.

Muffin Terror in the making?

No truce in sight yet, but we shall be patient. But I only have nine fingers left ...

Scaredy Cats: Episode I - Face Off

From the desk of Mama Piggy:

Snarl.

Hiss.

Spit.

Swipe.

Bloodshed. MY blood, that is. Courtesy of Muffin's sharp nails.

That sums up the first day of Muffin's homecoming.

My trip to China was cancelled so I brought the little one home last evening. Her temporary abode is the kitchen bathroom.

Kootoo Monster wasted no time to show her who's the Boss around the house, while Tiny Muffin showed that she was a feisty Chilli Padi behind that sweet facade of hers, hence there were plenty of ruffled furs and brandishing of claws.

The face off continues today.

Buzz off Buster, stop staring at me! Can't a kitty eat in peace?!

Bleah~

Muffin's (aka Pan Pan) homecoming has to be postponed as Mama Piggy got to make a last-minute working trip to Suzhou, China over the long weekend and won't be back until Tuesday ...

So I shall continue to hog the limelight for now ...

The Search Is Over

Introducing ... Pan-Pan, my newfound friend who will be coming home to the House of Pigs next Thursday :) She has the softest mew! I shall be spending the next few days thinking of a new name for her ... Any suggestions from fellow cyber felines?

Gasp!

The Pigs are going to take a look at Pan-Pan, a ten-week old ginger/white darling tomorrow evening and suss her out as a potential pal for me!

I hope she is as adorable as me ...

Alas, I could no longer sit on the window sill like I used to, without bits of tummy fat spilling over ... And that sweet innocent look of mine .... it's gone, together with my mojo!

The things I do at home …

… which the Pigs do not appreciate.

1. I keep winged intruders at bay … they would make a yummylicious snack though …

Damn ... stupid pea-brained birds. Can't they see that I am a friend, not a foe?

2. I warm their oh-so-soft bed … Zzzz … it’s not easy keeping my eyes open while doing this …

Sleeping on the job is encouraged ...

3. I watch the toilet to make sure that the Porky lifts the seat up before he wee wee …

Toilet paper? 10 kibbles please.

What would the Pigs do without me??

Get a life ...

Life has just returned to normalcy in the household of the Pigs... Mama Piggy has finally completed her mega project at work. Poor me, I think I've only seen her for about an hour per day in the last one and a half weeks! We must make up for lost time ...
