It's exactly ONE year since I came into the House of the Pigs ...
July 2005: Sweet Young Thing.
November 2005: Can barely fit into the window ledge.
March 2006: Have resigned to perching on the scratching post platform instead ...
Cat quote of the day:
People who wish to salute the free and independent side of their evolutionary character acquire cats. People who wish to pay homage to their servile and salivating roots own dogs.

congrats Kootoo. here's to many more fabulous years, eh :)
Happy Anniversary, Kootoo! May you have many more!
It's not you, it's the ledge. They should have built that d**ned thing deeper in the first place.
My condolences, Fat Kim Kim
Mwahahaha, thank you Kim Kim! You are right, it's that DAMNED ledge. Why do they not have the foresight to build it bigger to accommodate future needs?
More good years eh, the letter b? :)
Thanks Zeus, indeed I will continue to reign as the Honourable Topcat in the household ...
Congratulation Kootoo! So, any feasts of fresh tuna and cat nip bath?
Before ye all go falling over your paws to congratulate Kootoo, let it be known that in the running battle for supremacy at the House of the Pigs, Kootoo aint exactly doing too well.
Although he's much bigger now than Du Terrorist and can pin him down with aplomb, its the little terror that really stares and fights back with all claws and fangs unsheathed.
I think Du Chat is trying to assert his top cat role in the house but the small Terror doesnt seem to be any submissive, even when squashed or bitten. Might be due to his violent upbringing or experiences. When we hold him still to trim his nails, Du Terror gives the most bloodcurdling yells and struggles like a cat in a sinking bag at Singapore river...
i dread the day when he has to go for his subsequent rounds of innoculation. Mama piggy will do the honours of course, since i was there once.
Either that or we administer his last rites with the needle. Anyone out there got any ideas on calming a wild kitty, apart from homeopathic stuff? Will pay good kibbles for information leading to sedateness...
poor Muffin, for one so young, he went through so much.
try aromatherapy [Body Shop, $6.50 thereabouts, price may increase], and nothing does it better than Lavender renowned for its calming and soothing properties.
awaiting the kibbles :D
dear letter b,
actually that was what the vet meant by homeopatic treatment - she held up some vial of lavender or some other herby stuff. i'm not quite sure of its efficacy though. Du Terror is one tough and slightly deranged ball of fur.
any more suggestions, catizens of the world?
ps. homeopathy in the dict actually is nothing herbal. my bad.
terrorised wundering papa: methinks the vet has got herself thoroughly confused :D
can't blame the vet after dealing with all manners of creatures great and small [can't help but mention this great book/television series of those good ol' days]
maybe for du Terror, double [ie: 12 drops] the dosage of Lavender may help? or maybe throw in some chopped catnip to make the entire experience more therapeutic?
isnt catnip the stuff that drives them crazy? that might not be the best stuff for him now...
think the best would be a big file to file those fangs down, or better still, pliers can do the trick also... heh heh heh..
ps. having a feeling he's staring at me now... ooops.
I believe the conferment of enuchhood on the muffin terrorist will help to make him more of a SNAC - sensitive new age cat. *grin*
How about Feliway spray? I saw it before at Pet safari Simei, about $35 for a bottle.
Auntie P, you are so bad...hehehe...
But she is right you know. After the fried pea rice is served, they do become slightly less hyper (emphasize the "slightly").
