Lost and found

From the desk of Mama Piggy:

Cookie in her chubby days.

My sister's cat, Cookie, went missing for 16 days. The family combed the carpark, void deck and even the neighbouring HDB blocks after it was discovered that Cookie was missing. But for 16 days, there was no sight of the tabby.

Yesterday afternoon, my mother, who was again doing a spot of gardening at the community garden, spotted Cookie. But Cookie was somewhat afraid of her and ran to hide under a car. My mother had to lure her with some wet food before she could get close enough and catnap Cookie home.

Poor Cookie was somewhat traumatised by the 16-day ordeal. She fell into a deep slumber for a long, long while after she came home, but was twitching a lot and meowing in her sleep. She lost some weight, but is otherwise physically okay.

My mother said she shed some tears over Cookie. Cookie had "adopted" my mother, and the two of them have developed a special kind of bond. Thank goodness they are now reunited.

Our sympathies to Cookie and your mum... Milly was once lost for the morning, our mum called us at work, and we scrambled to take half-day leave to conduct a search. But before we got home, my mum who had combed theentire block in spite of her bad knees, found her hanging on the window ledge of the unit below ours. Milly had a tiny voice, but thankfully, she was loud enough to alert my mum to her location.

Even though it was only a few hours, we were all of us traumatised too. I can't imagine how badly frightened and stressed Cookie and your mum must have been, not to mention the rest of the family.

But thank goodness Cookie has been found. Our best to her and your mum.

Thats good news indeed, hugs to everyone.

Cookie might have wandered off and lost her way

Hugs too from me. Poor Cookie, I wonder what she had seen and encountered. Good to hear that everything's okay now.

Thanks all for the kind words ...

Calsifer & The Letter B, I certainly hope Cookie has learnt her lesson!

Cat Aunty, it is still a mystery how Cookie slipped out, we do not let the cats out at all.
