We got this cheerful blue basin from the Toyogo warehouse at Toa Payoh Lor 8.

As you can see, Kootoo the tubby loves it.

Flu-ed out

A virulent flu bug hit me on Sunday, and I'm completely flu-ed out. Been at home 'resting' (read=working from home) for two days now, and even without taking the meds I am as comatose as can be, like the kitties.

We apologise for the lack of updates for the past month.

Blame it on the ISP. Singnet did something to our connection LAN/proxy settings without our knowledge and which resulted in me not being able to access Blogger. After trawling through the forums, I managed to resolve the issue but Singnet continues to reset my connection settings (damn you Singnet!).

Anyway, we're back in business!

You would have noticed by now the new masthead featuring gorgeous Mama. She's blossomed into a bui bui :P



While Kootoo and Muffin continue their love-hate relationship ...



And Milo remains the sweet, innocent boy that he is.

Yes, I have been jolted out of my long slumber!

I wish! Have been so busy on the work front that I have ignored this blog for NEARLY TWO MONTHS?!?

And no, Calsifer, Milo is no van Winkle! :)



Am blogging now because I am still wide-eyed after doing the night shift. And since I am on forced day-off tomorrow, I guess I could stay up for a while more ...

Things are a-okay with the KMMM. Kootoo and Muffy are still chasing poor Mama around the house, and Milo and his Ma are not chummy ... yet. I am ever an optimist!



Work is keeping me very busy. At the rate I am going I will get burnt out very soon but the break is no where in sight!!

Kootoo occupies the entire coffeetable when fully stretched out, leaving us with little space for our things.

Sometimes I even clear the coffeetable so that Kootoo can lie on it comfortably with no obstruction. The true tale of a cat slave!

Oh well, thanks to a two-day medical leave, I am able to capture some lovely images of Mama cat :)



Five months ago she's nobody's cat - scrounging a living at the void deck, battling cat flu and looking for love.

With some TLC and good diet, look at what this beautiful girl has transformed into. Very huggable eh? :)

Mum's the word

Hello hello, I am back :P Apologies for the lack of postings recently. It's been crazy at work - from Killer Rojak to Aware to H1N1. No breather at all. And it doesn't help that I have been down with a swine of a flu bug which gave me an incredible sorethroat and tear-inducing coughing fits. Not to mention that my voice is almost gone.

Here's an update on Mama cat. She really needs to watch her weight. She doesn't really eat a lot, but she's piling on the pounds like nobody's business in the short 5 months she's been with us.



She is positively round! Not a very flattering back view, is it?


Mama: Are YOU calling me FAT? *squints eyes in consternation*

I guess it's the lack of "sporting activity" such as running after birds and running away from unfriendly humans at the void deck that's contributing to her expanding girth. The only "exercise" she does about the house is scampering away from Kootoo, who goes after her when he's in a frisky mood.


Mama: I am an all-rounder!

She could do with some advice on how to regain her hour-glass figure :)

Yes, we hear you (especially Calsifer), we have been rather slack in posting updates on the KMMM these couple of months. Hmmm, for lack of a better excuse, we have been busy with work.

Well, with the mandatory alternate Friday off the company is implementing with effect from April, I guess I should have more time on hand to snap pixs of the KMMM and clear the cobwebs on the blog ;)

Anyways, thanks to all for your funny caption contributions - we have received *drum roll* 37 entries!!! We'll round it up to 40 and make a $200 contribution to Metta Cattery. Thanks all! I had a good laugh reading the entries :)

Today marks the third month of Mama's stay with us! And she is definitely piling on the pounds. Her belly used to be trim and without an extra inch of fat, but now it's rotund and wobbly!
