From the desk of Mama Piggy:
Yes, Milo's got a, er, rather embarrassing problem.
He's got BO. (That's Body Odour, duh!)
Papa Porky had just complained that he smells of vomit -_-
He reeks of foul saliva mostly, really.
The strange thing is, the smell is concentrated at the nape of his neck down to his back.
So my theory is: he probably got the smell of saliva from Muffin, as Muffy likes to bite him there during play, thus leaving his scented saliva on Milo's nape and back.
But if that's the case, why doesn't Muffin smell as bad, since he grooms himself??
Kootoo enjoying the fresh, crisp evening air - a rare commodity nowadays.

To bathe a cat takes brute force, perseverance, courage of conviction--and a cat.The last ingredient is usually the hardest to come by.

That is so bizarre. Are you sure that Milo has never gotten into your garbage by chance? Perhaps he rubbed up against a plant or indoor material he is allergic to and is having a reaction? That is truly a mystery.
Milo, buddy, I hope you don't need to take a bath as a result of this. Baths are horrible! Hiss!
Handsome Kootoo. And see those two rascals snuggling at the back!!! I think you should bring Milo and Muffin to the vet. Maybe one of them have a sore or gums problem.
Maybe you can try to wipe Milo down with a damp towel every night (2 min job) and monitor if Muffin Terror is the suspect?
yup, cat aunty, a visit to the vet has been planned on Saturday.
It's no use, Zeus. I bathed Milo but the smell comes back the very next day. The trash bin is covered, and there are no plants at home (thanks to Kootoo Monster the Destroyer).

Some cats are like that. One of my MIL's cats (a calico) has bad breath, even though she eats the same type of dry food as the other cats and avoids wet food as she doesn't like it. We would be playing with her until she opened her mouth to yawn....then we'd flee!
That's a nice Kootoo pix...wonder why his ears were flipped backwards?
kxbc, tried towelling Milo too, doesn't remove the smell. I have been sniffing their mouths, they both smell, erm, unpleasant?! but then again, i don't expect them to smell like roses with the food they eat.
auntie p, kootoo was in one of his chill-down moods :)

Please keep us posted.
That's right, Kootoo, chill out and face the oncoming wind. Just make sure you stay in front of Milo. :P
Milo is probably teething .. he's a kitten right?
Teething sometimes do cause bad breath, smelly saliva etc. It will pass.
Hmmm, is that so, Cat? I found two pieces of dislodged teeth on the floor in the past week, looks like Milo's baby fangs.
In any case, Papa Porky couldn't stand the smell anymore and took the matter into his own hands -- he bathed Milo yesterday, single-handledly!!! And Milo didn't give him any scratches at all! I am so impressed!
Shall go back this evening to sniff at Milo and check if The Smell is back *fingers crossed*

Baby fangs are cute. I have one each of Xin Xin's, Chnag Chang's and Yuan Yuan's. And of course, XX's decayed tooth. For keepsake.
Bathing him won't help. You need to address the cause - which is the smelly saliva/bad breath.
Get him breath freshners from the pet shops. They come either in the forms of snacks (looks like candy) or 'listerine for cats' which you add to their drinking water.
It will help you until he stops teething.
I had XX, CC and YY when they were teething but I don't recall them having bad breath unless my toloerance level is very high. :)
Is it flatulence? If so, cut off the sweet stuff. My BB used to fart a lot as the previous owner likes to feed her cakes and other sweet things. Took a while to get it out of her system.
