I was a 3½-month-old orphan nicknamed “James” waiting for adoption at SPCA. On that fateful day, 8 May 2005, my Mama and Papa came to the shelter, hoping to find a nice, purry cat. Mama didn’t see me at first, as I was crouching behind the grilles, not jumping about like the other denizens who are dying to catch the attention of the human beings. They were about to leave when Papa suddenly noticed me and told Mama, “That’s a nice kitten over there!” Mama opened the cage and cuddled me in her arms. Hoping to go home with Mama, I put on my best behaviour, curled up into a ball of fur and purred at her …I could tell that Mama’s heart melted at that very moment, and as they say, the rest is history … :)
Can’t believe how scrawny and miserable I looked back then!
And look at me now – am I handsome or what???
Cat quote of the day:
A cat is more intelligent than people believe, and can be taught any crime.
