Brownie Tortie spayed at 4 months!

From the desk of Mama Piggy:

Remember Brownie Tortie, the kitten my mother picked up two months ago?

Well, apparently the kitty came into heat at the age of four months!

Despite Brownie's tender age and light weight, the vet found her fit for spaying. Thank goodness she recovered very fast after the op, and her stitch wound healed very well. Guess this is why some vets advocate sterilising cats at five months!

Waa...this occurrence must be rare - the coming into heat so early...?

She looks sweet. Is your mom keeping her? :)

We are all surprised as well, auntie p. She just seemed too young for it - both the coming into heat and spaying. But seems like it does happen. My sister couldn't take the non-stop meowing when Brownie went into heat, she went on for one whole week! Brownie is a sweet cat, she doesn't mind being held and would purr once I hold her. My mom is keeping her :)

She looks familiar. In which area did your mom pick her u? Near Bedok North? I fed a stray kitty that looked like that until she disappeared about 2 months ago. Very friendly and affectionate. Was gonna pick her up for spaying when the time was right..
